We have had to use Chadwick’s twice in the last 10 months, and both experiences have left us incredibly grateful for the kindness, compassion and care they have shown to our family during some of the most heartbreaking times of our lives.
The first time was in October last year, when we sadly lost our precious grandaughter. There really are no words to describe the pain of losing such a beautiful little girl. At a time when we were completely heartbroken and struggling to know what to do, the team at Chadwick’s were simply amazing.
They treated our grandaughter with the upmost care, dignity and respect that she so deserved. They listened to us, advised us when we needed guidance, but most importantly, they never rushed us. They gave us the time and space we needed to spend with her and say our goodbyes. That meant more to us than they could ever know.
Then sadly, in July thus year, we had to return to Chadwick’s following the loss of our Dad. To have to say goodbye to another precious member of our family in such a short space of time was incredibly difficult.
Once again, Chadwick’s were there for us with the same warmth, compassion, patience and understanding. They looked after our Dad with the dignity and respect he deserved and supported our family again at such an emotional and overwhelming time when still grieving the loss of our beautiful grandaughter.
When you go through the worst possible times, you never forget the people who show you kindness and compassion when you need it most. Chadwick’s have not only cared for our loved one’s with the upmost dignity, but they cared for us as family too.
We will be forever grateful to everyone at Chadwick’s for everything they have done for us, for our precious grandaughter and for our Dad.

From the initial phone contact to bumping into Alistair in the town afterwards we were treated with warmth, support, and efficiency.
Alistair and his colleagues obviously enjoy good relationships with Celebrant, Florist Burial site etc.
One of Alistair's team had met my step mum and made a point of saying I'll pick her up from the hospital, it'll be nice for her to have somebody she knows looking after her.

When my father passed away my mother wanted to use Chadwicks for the reputation they had. On the day of the service they did not disappoint. They showed empathy and compassion throughout the process and made the day a memorable one albeit sad. Thanks you once again.

At a very sad time, Derrick was very impressed with the courtesy and professionalism shown by Howard Chadwick’s. All his instructions were carefully followed. The funeral was exactly as planned. Everyone Derrick dealt was caring, extremely polite and kind. He had every confidence in them. Alistair was particularly responsive, thoughtful and supportive. We would certainly recommend Chadwick as a funeral director.
